Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation review!

I'm a massive fan of Bourjois make-up and I'm always on the hunt for a new foundation. I recently purchased Bourjois 123 Perfect foundation. Personally, I quite like this foundation but I can see why it isn't for everybody.

123 Perfect in shade 51 Light Vanilla.

What I love about Bourjois 123 Perfect foundation is the creamy, thick consistency. I would say that this foundation gives my skin medium coverage with a powder/matte finish. The foundation is extremely lightweight when applied and doesn't feel cakey or like a mask. However, I would not apply too much product on the face as it oxidizes on the skin and in my case, the foundation gave an orange hue to my complexion which I found unusual as I purchased shade 51 Light Vanilla - one of the lightest shades in the collection. As there are only five shades to choose from it is hard to find the right colour for your skin tone.

Swatch: 123 Perfect has a creamy consistency that doesn't dry out the skin and promises to hide imperfections.

I find that is product is especially beneficial for those with oily/combination skin types as the foundation dries matte. If you have dry skin this foundation is a definite no no! When my skin goes through a dry phase, I found that the foundation clung to dry areas and made flaking more obvious. I have oily skin and I found that this foundation stayed put on my skin for most of the day with some slight fading.

123 Perfect has three correcting pigments - yellow to conceal dark circles, mauve to perk up dull complexions, green to soften any redness on the face. In other words this foundation is perfect for those who want to hide their imperfections. I do think that this product evened out my skin tone and it is pigmented enough to cover the redness on my face due to my acne scarring but the foundation didn't give me enough coverage to conceal all of my imperfections as Bourjois claims.

Before 123 Perfect - I have oily skin with acne scarring but this foundation has
a correcting pigmented formula.
After using Bourjois 123 Perfect my complexion has medium coverage with a
 powdery/matte finish.

The packaging is perfect in my eyes and quite different from Bourjois usual packaging. 123 Perfect comes in a study glass bottle that is reasonable size with a foundation pump. Foundation pumps are always a plus in my eyes as I can control how much product I use without wastage. Another thing I loved was the fresh, natural rosy fragrance. The scent is subtle and stays with me all day.

VERDICT - At £10.99, 123 Perfect is perfect for those who want to hide their imperfections. I found that the product covers most of my imperfections but not entirely due to the medium coverage. I also love the fact that this foundation has an SPF of 10. I love the creamy, hydrating consistency that glides onto the face. As the consistency is so creamy it is surprisingly not greasy when applied.

The foundation is extremely beneficial to those with oily/combination skin due to the foundation's powdery/matte finish. The foundation starts to appear unnatural if you start to build it up to achieve full coverage. It is hard to find the right shade for your skin tone as there are little shades in the collection. As the foundation oxidizes on the skin it creates an orangey hue to my complexion in natural light and that really puts me off this foundation.

I would repurchase this foundation again but only if Bourjois had more of a colour range in the collection.
