Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation review!

After suffering with acne, I always find it so hard to find a foundation that is right for me.  I'd heard a lot about Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation so I decided to put it to the test...

 

This miracle in a bottle foundation promises lasting coverage, transfer free, oil and shine free and leaves the skin looking flawless for up to 15 hours!

 

The most important thing while buying Double Wear is to find the right shade for you. There are 21 shades in total so there is a shade for everyone. It's important to find the right colour with this foundation because of the opaque coverage as you don't want to end up like your wearing a make-up 'mask'! Make sure you find the closest shade match to your skin tone.

 

 

Double Wear foundation gives a matte finish to the face. This foundation is great to gradually build up on but I think my skin looks amazing with even one application and perfect with two. It gives the skin a lightweight, natural look. A little goes a long way with Double Wear and at £27.50, I wouldn't be splashing out often! This medium to full coverage foundation covers everything from freckles to blemishes.

 As you can see from my before and after shots, my skin looks immediately clearer with a natural matte finish. I apply the foundation with my finger tips and massage onto my skin. After one coat, I use a patting motion to seal the foundation over my acne scarring. Unbelievably, this is my skin only wearing Double Wear. I don't even need to splash out on concealers anymore! All imperfections are banished - with one application!

What I love about Double Wear is how natural my skin tone looks. The foundation livens up my colour giving my skin more of a 'glow'. The foundation is incredibly lightweight just as promised. Also, my face doesn't become oily like when I have used other foundations in the past. Overall, I can now feel confident in my own skin when I'm wearing this foundation. I just adore it!

 

 

 I love the constancy of this foundation. It's not at all runny and is very buildable as it's so easy to blend. The constancy is almost creamy. The foundation dries quickly once applied to the face without leaving a greasy feel. It layers well and is buildable without looking blotchy. If you have dry skin, a moisturized base before application could help.





  This foundation stays put on my skin all day. I apply first thing in the morning and it looks just as good when I take it off last thing at night. A good tip is to buy good make remover as this foundation's staying power is magical! I don't even need to re-apply that's how long lasting this foundation really is!

 

 

 

VERDICT - This really is the best foundation out there and  I really recommend this to everyone. Especially to people who feel insecure about their imperfections. This foundation lived up to all my expectations. It provides great coverage that is easy to blend and very buildable. Double Wear gives a natural matte finish and a little really does go a long way. This foundation is especially beneficial to those with oily to combination skin types due to the staying power. This foundation also has little fragrance and an SPF of 10 to protect the skin against damage. The only thing I didn't like about this foundation is the packaging. Why doesn't this fancy little bottle come with a foundation pump? Regardless, I will be purchasing this foundation over and over again as this really is in my book, a miracle in a bottle.
