Sally Hansen Gem Crush nail polish review!

Sally Hansen Gem Crush nail polish in Razzle Dazzler (two coats applied with no base colour).
Sally Hansen Gem Crush nail colour comes in eight dazzling shades, packed with glitter and bling. The polish has flecks of glitter to make your nails sparkle! I purchased Razzle Dazzler as I found the colour looked beautiful in the bottle. When I applied, I found two coats of polish gave my nails great coverage with an almost foil-like shine. As it's a glitter polish, the surface is a little 'gritty' so I applied a top coat to give extra shine and to smooth the nail surface. I absolutely love the effect this polish gives. It looks like painted nail jewelry on the nail so it is perfect to glam up any outfit, day or night!

However, the brush is thin so it makes the polish more difficult and messy to apply. Also it takes more time to apply to the nail as the brush is so thin, not a polish to apply while on the go! The formula is quite runny (even for a glitter polish!) so it dries quickly. Sally Hansen claims that the polish ''stays on wherever you go.'' Unfortunately, I found the polish to peel easily. In fact, I had barely had the colour on for long before the polish chipped on me! Next time I apply this polish I will probably use it on top of a nude colour for maximum staying power!

VERDICT - At £6.99, Sally Hansen Gem Crush nail polish is expensive for what it is.  The bottle is quite a nice size but the brush is thin therefore, the polish is hard to apply. Saying that though, I would purchase again as this is the only product on the market that gives my nails a dazzling yet glam look. It is simply beautiful. For a more reserved look I would only apply one coat on a base colour and for an extra dazzling look apply two or three coats. Overall, I adore the colour and the shiny glossy look this polish gives along with a glittery finish. However, I wish it would stay on longer as it does chip and peel easily.
