This foundation promises to fights the signs of make-up melt down while lasting up to 16 hours. I had very high expectations for this foundation as of the brand name, the expensive price of £12.29 and after reading rave reviews. I thought I would give this product a try. Unfortunately, this is probably the most disappointing foundation I have ever bought.
There are 8 shades of this foundation. I chose shade 125 in Natural Rose. If you are pale I wouldn't recommend this foundation because the shades are quite dark and tan.
The packaging is nice and straight forward. However, the bottle is way too small for £12.29 in my opinion. The foundations comes in a sturdy glass bottle with a handy pump dispenser. The dispenser allows me to the right amount of foundation out while being easy to do without mess. The foundation has a pleasant light floral scent. Sadly, I think the majority of positives for this foundation end here.
L'Oreal Infallible Foundation has a very think consistency that feels mask like on my face. |
The consistency of this foundation is thick. Really thick. This would be good for someone who wants to hide all of their imperfections but I was worried in case the foundation applied cakey and heavy. However, once applied I was surprised at how light the foundation felt but this feeling wasn't to last. It started to feel thick on my face through out the day almost 'mask' like!
The colour is horrendous. It goes on orange! I had to be very careful to cover the whole of my face in this foundation so I wasn't left with 'tide lines'.

This foundation is not for those with oily skin. Beware of this foundation as it makes the face feel horribly thick with grease! It is so greasy is almost feels like this foundation is sliding all over my face! I dread to think what this foundation would be like in a humid climate or in the summer. Eventually, this foundation completely melted off my face in hours, before accentuating my pores and making them appear huge. I actually think this product clogged up my pores and make me break out more frequently than usual.

VERDICT: This is a complete waste of my money and perhaps the worst foundation I have ever purchased. The coverage is awful as it applies almost semi-matte before turning into complete grease. It felt like a mask was on my skin and felt uncomfortable to say the least. I'm not sure if this foundation would work with other skin types but this a no-no for anyone with blemish prone skin. From my experience with this awful foundation, it may be more suited to those with dry skin.
If there is any benefits to this foundation they are very slim. The coverage is average, the bottle has a nice pump and the foundation comes in a range of shades.
Disadvantages of this foundation. The colour is orange, greasy feeling on the skin and makes face look very oily, heavy and uncomfortable and clogs pores to cause break outs. The staying power is awful as well as the foundation slides off the face after a couple of hours. L'Oreal Infallible Foundation meets absolutely none of it's claims.
This is the biggest disappointment. I want to warn everyone of this foundation. Don't purchase this complete waste of money! The only place my L'Oreal Infallible Foundation is going is straight into the bin!
