Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Colour Lash Enhancing Mascara review!

Elizabeth Arden's Beautiful Colour Lash Enhancing Mascara is the mascara that 'volumizes, lengthens, curls, and strengthens your lashes.' Could a girl ask for more?!

Not only does the 'Beautiful Colour Lash Enhancing' mascara volumise, lengthen and curl, but it also helps strengthen lashes too with it's special ingredients that include carob tree extract which strengthens and protects the lashes. If the mascara is used daily it will overall improve the condition of the lashes! Making them longer and thicker and minimizing lash loss.

I am so impressed with how my lashes look after using this mascara! The transformation of the lashes is instant and has a long lasting result as it doesn't smudge or flake. The mascara curls lashes, lengthens them and gives a voluminous full look with an eye-opening effect. The jet black colour defines my lashes giving them a dramatic effect that looks natural.

Here is what I had to work with! My lashes are quite long but need just what
Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Colour Lash Enhancing Mascara is offering!

Even after one coat my lashes immediately look lengthened and defined!

After two coats of the mascara my lashes are definitely lengthened! I did find that the
mascara started to clump after two coats.

My lashes are naturally long but I are quite thin and need a good mascara to define them and I think Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Colour Lash Enhancing Mascara done just the job! As you can see from my before and after photographs, my lashes immediately look more awake, defined and needless to say enhanced! I personally think that one coat of mascara is more than enough. I found that two coats clumped my lashes and ruins the separated appearance that one application gave my lashes. The best thing about this mascara is that it stays put all day and I never have to re-apply!

The brush isn't too daring to use either. The unique brush is thin and long that coats each individual lash to create maximum effect!

VERDICT - At £21, Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Colour Lash Enhancing Mascara is very pricey but it does it's job perfectly! My lashes look immediately curled, lengthened, lifted and enhanced! The result is instant and most importantly it doesn't budge! The mascara doesn't flake or smudge meaning I don't have to re-apply during the day. I found that one coat done the job perfectly as two coats made my lashes clump a little. The brush is amazing too. It coats each individual lash in one sweep to create maximum effect.

Thanks to the special ingredients used in the formula, the mascara also protects my lashes. If the mascara is used daily, the lashes naturally strengthen, curl and moisturize so overall the lashes will naturally appear more healthy and bold.

Overall, I would recommend Elizabeth Arden's Beautiful Colour Lash Enhancing Mascara to everyone! The mascara does exactly what it claims to do along with lasting, beneficial results! What could more could a girl ask for?

L'Oreal Infallible Foundation review!

This foundation promises to fights the signs of make-up melt down while lasting up to 16 hours. I had very high expectations for this foundation as of the brand name, the expensive price of £12.29 and after reading rave reviews. I thought I would give this product a try. Unfortunately, this is probably the most disappointing foundation I have ever bought.

There are 8 shades of this foundation. I chose shade 125 in Natural Rose. If you are pale I wouldn't recommend this foundation because the shades are quite dark and tan.

The packaging is nice and straight forward. However, the bottle is way too small for £12.29 in my opinion. The foundations comes in a sturdy glass bottle with a handy pump dispenser. The dispenser allows me to the right amount of foundation out while being easy to do without mess. The foundation has a pleasant light floral scent. Sadly, I think the majority of positives for this foundation end here.

L'Oreal Infallible Foundation has a very think consistency that feels mask like on my face.

The consistency of this foundation is thick. Really thick. This would be good for someone who wants to hide all of their imperfections but I was worried in case the foundation applied cakey and heavy. However, once applied I was surprised at how light the foundation felt but this feeling wasn't to last. It started to feel thick on my face through out the day almost 'mask' like!

The colour is horrendous. It goes on orange! I had to be very careful to cover the whole of my face in this foundation so I wasn't left with 'tide lines'.

Before using L'Oreal Infallible Foundation.
After using L'Oreal Infallible Foundation.

This foundation is not for those with oily skin. Beware of this foundation as it makes the face feel horribly thick with grease! It is so greasy is almost feels like this foundation is sliding all over my face! I dread to think what this foundation would be like in a humid climate or in the summer. Eventually, this foundation completely melted off my face in hours, before accentuating my pores and making them appear huge. I actually think this product clogged up my pores and make me break out more frequently than usual.

VERDICT: This is a complete waste of my money and perhaps the worst foundation I have ever purchased. The coverage is awful as it applies almost semi-matte before turning into complete grease. It felt like a mask was on my skin and felt uncomfortable to say the least. I'm not sure if this foundation would work with other skin types but this a no-no for anyone with blemish prone skin. From my experience with this awful foundation, it may be more suited to those with dry skin.

If there is any benefits to this foundation they are very slim. The coverage is average, the bottle has a nice pump and the foundation comes in a range of shades.

Disadvantages of this foundation. The colour is orange, greasy feeling on the skin and makes face look very oily, heavy and uncomfortable and clogs pores to cause break outs. The staying power is awful as well as the foundation slides off the face after a couple of hours. L'Oreal Infallible Foundation meets absolutely none of it's claims.

This is the biggest disappointment. I want to warn everyone of this foundation. Don't purchase this complete waste of money! The only place my L'Oreal Infallible Foundation is going is straight into the bin!

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Colour review!

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Colour is specially designed for coloured hair in desperate need of attention and care. The conditioner is an intensive treatment to replenish and revitalise your colour and condition of your hair.

After reading the rave reviews about this conditioner and Aussie in general, I was really looking forward to using this product and at £4.99 I decided I couldn't go wrong!

I have dyed blonde hair that is manageable but I am always on the hunt for products that will keep my hair in the best condition possible and Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Colour conditioner does the job perfectly!

The '3 minute miracle' has a juicy, fruity formula revitalises and replenishes coloured hair making sure you have healthy, glossy hair with plenty of shine!

What I love about Aussie's 3 Minute Miracle Colour conditioner is the thick and creamy consistency that smells absolutely delicious! A simple squeeze of the bottle gives you enough product to apply all over clean wet hair. The conditioner washes out easily leaving no residue and doesn't leave my hair feeling greasy. It isn't called '3 Minute Miracle' for nothing! You only have to wait 3 minutes and voila! Your hair is left with a silky, smooth refreshed appearance.

This is really like any other conditioner. It is applied onto wet, clean hair after shampooing. A little blob really does go a long way but if you're like me, you will want to generously cover the whole head in a big splodge of Aussie to make sure your hair is getting the condition it needs! I pay a lot of attention to the ends of my hair.

The texture is thick and creamy, very much like any other conditioner and stays on the hair without dripping.

Three minutes was enough for me and I washed the product out of my hair. Already my hair feels incredibly smoother and silky with no knots or tangles. I was seriously impressed. My hair dried normally but much more glossier and sleeker than previously. My hair so much more easier to manage. The colour of my hair seem to look brighter and fresh while also looking in great condition!

Another advantage of using Aussie is that the beautiful peachy smell stays on the hair!

VERDICT - This is an absolutely wonderful deep conditioning treatment and at such a great price of £4.99! Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Colour does exactly what it claims to do. It conditions hair, making it shiner, silkier, smoother and keeping coloured hair looking its best!

For such a heavy conditioner, this does not weigh my hair down at all. There is no residue left on the hair once washed away and my hair is left feeling clean and fresh for days. This treatment can be used whenever you please but I personally only use it 2-3 times a week for a special treat. I honestly can't say a bad thing about this conditioning treatment. This is a must-have for anyone with coloured hair!

Bourjois Healthy Balance Unifying Powder review!

Having tried Bourjois products before and really liking them, I decided to buy myself a face powder. Recently, my face has been getting quite oily around my T-zone and I wanted to put  Bourjois Healthy Balance Unifying Powder to the test as it is specially designed to put keep oil at bay.

This powder claims to stay put for ten hours and contains Sharon fruit to smooth and moisturise dry areas and Yuzu fruit to absorb excess shine. It is an 'Asian fruit therapy formula to restore balance to the skin' while also boosting radiance.

I got shade 52 Vanilla, the lightest shade in the collection. I was quite disappointed to see there was only a limited amount of shades. There were only four powders to choose from! Despite this problem 52 Vanilla is the perfect colour for me.

Plus, the smell is absolutely gorgeous like all Bourjois products. It's a fruity, subtle and fresh smell. Think Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation.

The powder comes in a super slim, red compact with a wonderfully large mirror. This is the perfect compact for on the go. Much to my annoyance, this powder comes with no applicator. I would of expected a powder puff to be included because of the quite expensive price of £8.49.

The powder itself is creamy, light weight and soft to the touch. I really enjoy the texture of this powder.

This applies beautifully to my face. It is very matt but looks natural. The powder is quite fine so it doesn't look cakey at all. This powder provides a lot coverage and really did eliminate a lot of shine especially from my problem areas such as my T-zone! I use this on top of foundation so this powder helps me create a flawless finish! This product applies very evenly and the shade is fantastic for me.

I do find this powder clings to dry areas on the face but this problem can be easily sorted with a little moisturiser before using the powder. However, I think this powder is a no-no for those with dry skin!

I'm not sure about the ten hour claim. I only needed to touch up once through out the day which I was pleased about but it stays on for no where near ten hours! However, this powder doesn't 'streak' as it fades off.

VERDICT - Overall, I am pretty pleased with this product and happy I purchased it! It looks pretty in my make-up bag and is easy to carry around because of the slim packaging. The mirror in the compact is really handy for touch ups though out the day. I am slightly disappointed that it didn't come with a powder puff. The smell is deliciously fruity and fresh.

The powder is such a lovely soft texture and applies evenly on the skin with great coverage. This powder does completely hide any shine and oil.

However, it doesn't stay on for ten hours and clings to any dry patches. This problem doesn't really bother me much as I only needed touch-up once more during the day.

The shades are also a let down as it only has four shades in the collection so it doesn't have a powder for everyone's skin colour.

At £8.49, this is a very expensive powder but does the job perfectly for me.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream, Skin Protectant and Lip Balm review!

I was a newbie to Elizabeth Arden products when I bought a small sample set of the Eight hour creams last year. I've read a lot of reviews saying that the Eight hour creams are beauty must-haves so it was only natural for me to buy some of my own.

Elizabeth Arden Cream Lip Protectant Stick Sunscreen SPF 15, Eight Hour Intensive Daily Moisturizer for Face SPF 15
and Eight Hour Skin Protectant.
What I love about Elizabeth Arden's Eight Hour creams are that they are extremely hydrating and leave my skin feeling silky smooth and moisturized for up to 8 hours. These creams are perfect if you want to protect your skin from extreme weather conditions as the SPF of 15 shields the skin from the harmful effects of the sun and extreme weather conditions.

The 8 hour creams are rich, thick creams without being greasy so they do not cause breakouts from blocking pores. They intensively moisturize the skin to prevent dryness and flaking - perfect for severely dry Winter skin! The creams are suitable for every skin type out there and are an absolute must-have for everyone!

My sample kit consists of:

  • Elizabeth Arden Cream Lip Protectant Stick Sunscreen SPF 15.
  • Eight Hour Intensive Daily Moisturizer for Face SPF 15.
  • Eight Hour Skin Protectant.

Elizabeth Arden Cream Lip Protectant Stick Sunscreen SPF 15 - This lip protectant comes in a range of different shades. It moisturises the lips intensively while protecting against the suns harmful rays. This lip balm glides on the lips like a treat and softens and makes lips incredibly smooth. The lip protectant is very scented and smells a lot like lemons but almost verging on a medicated fragrance. The smell doesn't affect me too much as this lip balm loves and cares for my lips like no other!

Eight Hour Intensive Daily Moisturizer for Face SPF 15 - This rich intensive daily moisturizer protects skin from climate changes and extreme weather while the SPF15 shields skin from the harmful effects of the sun. This is the perfect moisturizer for anyone who wants to take good care of their skin as it is suitable for all skin types! The aroma of this cream is just like the lip protector. It smells like lemons but almost smells medicated which I didn't expect from a moisturizer like this one. However, I wouldn't stop using the cream because of the scent. The consistency is thick and creamy but verges on heavy. On my face it feels completely different as it feels comfortable, light weight and non greasy. My face feels deeply moisturized and hydrated with a silky smooth feel.

Eight Hour Skin Protectant - This protectant soothes and cares for skin that is in need of love. This product soothes the effects of sun burn, chapped skin, scrapes, abrasions, peeling, flaking and so much more. This really is a miracle cream as it even heals minor burns and irritations. The protective formula moisturises, softens and makes replenished skin look revitalised instantly! This is more like an ointment than a skin protectant. The consistency is not to my liking as it is rather gloopy and hard to blend into the skin. Needless to say, this product smells just like the other 8 Hour Creams as it is very heavily medicated, more so than the others. What I do love about this skin protectant is that I can apply however much I want during the course of the day. This product benefits those with dry skin especially.

VERDICT - After being a total newbie to Elizabeth Arden products I am now a dedicated costumer. I am truly blown away by the 8 Hour Cream collection. This isn't just the latest trend, this really is a beauty must-have. It isn't called 8 Hour Cream for nothing either as the products from the 8 hour range leave my skin feeling silky smooth and moisturized for up to 8 hours. The SPF of 15 is another advantages as it protects my skin all day long.

Although I am not fond of the smell of these products, it does not stop me from using them daily as I am truly addicted. Also, a little really does go a long way as the smallest blob gives great coverage so its well worth the expensive price.

The creams are suitable for every skin type out there and despite being quite intensive, they do not cause break outs or clogged pores. They are an absolute must-have for everyone!

Collection Volume Sensation Lipstick in 12 Tea Rose review!

Collection's Volume Sensation Lipstick claims to be just another volumising lipstick with '40% volumising ingredients to plump up your pout in a flash,' but I found that Collection's Volume Sensation lipstick really is a sensation.

I purchased lip shade 12 Tea Rose while on the go after being won over by the bargain of this lipstick. It is only £2.99, so how could I go wrong?

Collection's Volume Sensation lipsticks have 11 wearable shades in playful pinks, cute corals and pretty plums. Shade 12 Tea Rose is a lovely coral toned nude which is a great shade that looks very natural on the lips. I found this to be a full coverage pigmented lipstick with a semi-matte finish to the lips. As promised, I found that this lipstick was surprisingly moisturizing on the lips with a beautiful creamy feel. The formula is smooth and moisturizing and really comfortable to wear.

Swatch: Collection's Volume Sensation lipstick in shade 12 Tea Rose.

Collection's Volume Sensation lipstick's have amazing staying power too. It only took one application of to achieve a pigmented shade that lasts for three hours and probably longer before I had to reapply. However, as the lipstick begins to fade off it becomes a little drying on the lips but it doesn't put me off from wearing this lipstick as there are so many advantages!

As this is a volumising lipstick I didn't find that my pout looked more plumper or puckered which is a massive downfall for this volumising lipstick. My lips definitely tingled when I applied and the sensation was much like Soap and Glory's Sexy Mother Pucker but  Collection's Volume Sensation lipstick doesn't work as a lip plumper - just a great lipstick!

The smell doesn't effect me too much. I personally like it. The scent is kind of like a fruity fragrance and I imagine it wouldn't be for everyone but thankfully the scent doesn't stay on the lips at all.

I guess some people would say the packaging is tacky but I like it! The shape of the lipstick isn't designed to the natural shape of the lips so a lip brush and liner may be needed for precise application.

VERDICT - Collection's Volume Sensation Lipstick is a beauty bargain at only £2.99! My lips don't look deliciously plumped after using this product but that doesn't hide the fact of this being a great lipstick. I absolutely love shade 12 Tea Rose. The colour is a wearable pigmented coral toned nude that makes the perfect natural lip colour. The lipstick is thick and creamy making it feel smooth and moisturizing on the lips with great lasting power!

I recommend Collection's Volume Sensation Lipstick to everyone! I'm definitely going to invest in more of the shades from this range because at £2.99 you can't do wrong!
